This past weekend I had the pleasure of flying out to Ozark, MO in order to spend some time at Lifepoint Church and speak at their women’s retreat.

I was in for a treat. Christin Harrison, met me at the airport in Springfield, MO.  Christin is the wife of Senior Pastor Lane Harrison and such a sweet woman of God. Her desire to love God is evident in her words and actions. She is a beautiful woman both inside and out.

Our weekend was spent learning together how to be gospel centered women in the midst of the busy and sometimes chaotic lives that we lead.   

It was humbling and encouraging to be able to hear many of the women’s stories and how God has been working in their lives. How wonderful to meet new sisters in Christ and make new friends. It is always fun to meet women with whom I will spend eternity.

Believers are not compared to bears or lions or other animals that wander alone. Those who belong to Christ are sheep in this respect, that they love to get together. Sheep go in flocks, and so do God’s people.

I am not naturally comfortable talking to people, let alone speaking to a crowd, but God has been gracious and kind and I know that I have returned blessed, stretched, and changed.
