Because God is infinite (without bounds or limits) he is not confined to any place and is therefore completely present in all places at the same time.
Space is a creature, just as time is. And we need space just as we need time. God does not need space, is not affected by space, and does not think in terms of space.

This is a truth too big to wrap my brain around, but it helps me to see how immensely majestic our God is.
The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good. Proverbs 15:3
The omnipresence of God is a dreadful reality for the wicked but good news for those who know the Lord. It leads to a fearful judgment for the former, but comfort and peace for the latter.
When it is dark and silent and I can’t sleep, God is with me. To him darkness is like light ( Psalm 139:12 ) He is my “unsetting sun.” When I are sad or lonely I can be comforted because Jesus has said, “I will be with you always.” He encamps around me at all time and never takes his eyes off of me.
He gives attention to each of his creatures as if they were the only ones he had to care for.
Because he is present everywhere he:
- notices every tear
- hears every prayer
- senses every sigh
- rejoices with every smile
“Am I a God at hand, declares the Lord, and not a God far away?
Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? says the Lord.
Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord.
Jeremiah 23: 23-24
It is a great blessing and mercy that God is not only “everywhere” but also so very close to his people ALL the time.
